It is imperative for the Southwest governors to critically examine and address the pressing issues affecting the citizens of the region.

The Yoruba people are renowned for their exceptional values, including respect for elders, modesty, consideration, hospitality, and reverence for authority and good governance.

However, these values are often exploited by other regions, taking advantage of the Southwest’s goodwill and leadership’s inaction. This exploitation has severe consequences for many citizens, leading some to seek opportunities elsewhere to preserve their values.

The onus is on the leaders to take decisive action and create an environment where the good people of the Southwest can thrive and benefit from upholding the core values instilled by their forebears.

It is essential for the governors to prioritize the well-being of their citizens and address the challenges facing the region, ensuring that the values that define the Yoruba people are respected and protected.
