LG ELECTION: Perpetrators desperate in LIELCDA, out of touch with reality.

By Fashina Shakiru.

Last week, a man from the eastern corner of Lagos Island LCDA wrote a jargon piece either to entertain his gullible supporters or to appear daft on LG bills. I hope today’s Lagos State House of Assembly public hearing on LG Administrative Act on LCDAs position has cleared and finalised the existence of LCDAs is not dead but rather a result of the Supreme Court’s recognition.

This puts end in the primitive thought of the writer, but this instance exposes the leopard of Lagos Island’s characters and co-travellers desperately hungry for the position of the chosen major local government, which is not contestable and also beyond their level of politics.

The article credence by Olasunkanmi Ope’s sponsored and biased “the new Local Government Act of Lagos State is expected to bring about political warfare in Lagos Island.” He listed four aspirants whose number one of them is not from the main local government, and Hon. Prince Muhammad Rosul Eshilokun is the last man standing on the list.

To the writer of that piece, equating Prince Muhammad Rosul Eshilokun’s aspiration to other aspirants that lack democratic grassroot politics and governance. Who among those aspirants has web-connected and grounded party structures? What are their antecedents and contributions to the development of All Progressive Congress APC in Lagos Island and Lagos State?

In this race, a cursory look in the field shows no titanic battle of political bigwigs or heavyweights will challenge ATARI AJANAKU; an elephant like a masquerade will be crowned for the premier seat, which is Hon. Prince Mohammed Rosul Eshilokun’s credibility, intelligence, loyalty, reliability, and homegrown will speak for him.

With the mediocrity of the writer and desperation of the Lagos island easterner to contest for the chairmanship seat of Lagos Island Local Government with the aim of perverting the position of the law, left their very dearly LCDA to cross to the main local government with offensive and derogatory messages, which is likely to cause political disunity among the party gladiators and stalwarts.

However, his actions have a foul odour portrayed as a destructive hyena. The writer should be warned to stop pitching wrong political permutations to suit his paymasters and caution laying claim to the Lagos Island local government premier’s office where their cap does not fit, rather face Lagos Island East LCDA than looking for what isn’t lost.
