Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has pledged to honor the trust placed in him by the people, vowing not to betray their confidence following his election as the state’s sixth governor.
Speaking at his inauguration, Okpebholo assured citizens that the welfare of the people would be his administration’s foremost priority, with the launch of his “Five-Point Agenda” designed to foster economic growth and improve living standards.
The five key areas of focus include: Security, Infrastructure and Road Development, Affordable Healthcare, Water and Food Sufficiency, and Value-Driven Education across Edo State.
Okpebholo, who was elected on September 21, 2024, defeated 16 other candidates, including his main rival Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He was sworn in alongside his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, the former lawmaker representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
