The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Malam Shehu Mohammed, has authorized the deployment of 1,500 officers and 25 patrol vehicles to ensure smooth operations during the Ondo State governorship election on November 16.

The deployment, outlined in a statement by FRSC’s Public Education Officer Olusegun Ogungbemide, aims to enforce movement restrictions and other electoral laws.

FRSC personnel will work alongside other security agencies to ensure compliance, clear road obstructions, conduct rescue operations during emergencies, and maintain order at polling stations.

Additionally, the FRSC will deploy 7 tow trucks and 6 ambulances, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to supporting the election process and upholding public safety.

Mohammed emphasized the importance of professionalism and warned personnel against any actions that could infringe on the rights of voters.
