Kaduna to Train 5,000 Women in ICT

By Fly Cable News

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has launched a plan to transform the state into a digital economy hub through partnerships with tech companies like Data Science Nigeria and google.org

Speaking at a stakeholders’ event in Kaduna on Thursday, Sani, represented by Commissioner for Business, Innovation, and Technology, Mrs. Patience Fakai, announced the “Arewa Ladies4Tech” initiative.

The program aims to train 5,000 women across the state’s 23 local government areas in ICT.

Sani emphasized that the initiative has already produced positive results, with many participants securing local and global remote jobs.

He also highlighted the AI4All project, which offers accessible AI lessons in Hausa, and the AgricTech Hackathon, a collaboration with Greysoft Technologies to develop tech solutions for agriculture.
