New Political Party, ACC, Vows to Unseat Tinubu, Revive Nigeria Ahead of 2027 Election

A new political movement, the “Allied Conservative Congress (ACC)”, has officially emerged in Abuja, with a pledge to unseat the current government and address Nigeria’s pressing challenges.

At the ACC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Thursday in Abuja, National Secretary, Alhaji Mohammed Lawal highlighted the party’s conservative vision and its commitment to revitalizing Nigerian governance. Lawal emphasized that the ACC aims to offer a fresh political alternative as the 2027 elections approach, focusing on restoring national security, economic prosperity, and equity through conservative values.

The movement’s founders criticized the current administration for what they see as widespread insecurity, economic hardship, and societal disarray. They argued that the failure of the current government has sparked widespread public discontent, fueling a desire for change.

The ACC’s formation, they explained, is a response to the dominance of progressive ideologies in Nigeria’s political landscape, which they believe has failed to deliver lasting solutions. The party advocates a return to the principles of the First Republic, emphasizing patriotism, morality, and adherence to the rule of law as the foundation for Nigeria’s future.

The group also raised concerns about the erosion of public trust in Nigeria’s judiciary, calling for urgent judicial reforms to restore justice and strengthen democratic values.

INEC Registration Efforts

Mohammed disclosed that the ACC has gathered broad support from individuals across various political affiliations and is in the process of registering as an official political party with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He stated, “The Allied Conservative Congress (ACC)” was formed in response to Nigerians’ demand for genuine democracy, good governance, the rule of law, national security, economic prosperity, equity, and moral integrity. The current state of the nation is dire, with insecurity and poverty running rampant, and our national unity, once rooted in patriotism, now eroded.”

According to Mohammed, “There is confusion in governance, and the Nigerian state is adrift. ACC is on a rescue mission to restore the country’s dignity and stability. We will not allow self-serving politicians to continue masquerading as democrats. The national interest must always come before partisan politics and personal ambitions.”

He further criticized the major political parties—APC, PDP, and LP—saying they offer no new solutions and are merely recycling old promises. “Nigerians are tired of the same rhetoric; it’s time for fresh ideas and genuine patriotism. The current government seems to have exhausted its solutions. We have our own plans, but we will keep them under wraps for now,” he said.

Call for Judicial Reform

On the judiciary, Mohammed expressed concern over the erosion of public confidence, blaming frequent miscarriages of justice for undermining the rule of law. “The urgent need for judicial reform cannot be overstated,” he added.

At the NEC meeting, members of the ACC signed the Code of Conduct and Oath of Allegiance, reaffirming their loyalty and commitment to the movement’s principles and objectives.
