Tinubu Confers Posthumous CFR on Late Lt-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has posthumously awarded the national honor of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) to the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.
The honor was conferred during the burial ceremony of the late Army Chief, which took place in Abuja.
President Tinubu, accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, led a delegation of dignitaries to pay their respects at the solemn event.
Among those present were First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abass, and the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
The ceremony began with the pallbearers placing the casket, followed by a religious service, the sounding of the Last Post, and a moment of silence to honor the late Army Chief.
President Tinubu made the official announcement of the posthumous award during the proceedings, recognizing Lt-Gen. Lagbaja’s distinguished service to the nation.
