Nigeria, India sign MoUs to boost cooperation

By Fly Cable News

Nigeria and India have officially signed three Memoranda of Understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two nations.

The agreements cover cultural exchange, survey cooperation, and customs collaboration.

The signing ceremony, held on Friday in Abuja, featured Nigeria’s Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dumoma Ahmed, and India’s Secretary of Economic Relations, Dammu Ravi, signing on behalf of their respective countries.

In his address, Ahmed highlighted the longstanding partnership between Nigeria and India, emphasising their shared history, cultural ties, and mutual interests in democracy and economic development

He noted that the MoUs reflect a commitment to deepening relations, building on recent diplomatic engagements, including President Bola Tinubu’s participation in the G20 Summit and the anticipated visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
