Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed plans to release his fifth studio album in early 2025. In a recent interview on The Baller Alert Show, the “Feel” hitmaker confirmed that the highly anticipated project will drop sometime next year, though he kept details under wraps, including the exact release date, album title, and featured artists.
The 32-year-old also shared exciting news about an upcoming collaboration with Chike and Odumodublvck, set to drop in a few days. Speaking about the collaboration, Davido described Odumodublvck as the “biggest Nigerian rapper” and compared Chike to American singer Bryson Tiller. The new track, titled “Funds,” is expected to make waves with these notable Nigerian artists.
On his upcoming album, Davido teased that it will feature a strong African influence, saying, “My album will be coming out early next year. It will be a real African record.”
Despite facing opportunities to move abroad, Davido emphasized his decision to remain in Nigeria, noting, “I have to stay tapped in because why run away from home when others are running there now.”
Born David Adeleke, Davido first gained fame in 2012 with the hit single “Dami Duro” from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo. Since then, he has released several successful projects, including A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and his most recent album, Timeless (2023).
