Ogun State Advocates Digital Solutions for Improved Traffic Management

Ogun State Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has urged the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) to embrace digital technologies for more effective traffic management. Speaking at a capacity-building training in Abeokuta, Salako-Oyedele highlighted the benefits of digital platforms for real-time traffic reporting, data collection, and improving overall traffic management. She emphasized that data-driven strategies are essential for modern road safety and urged TRACE to explore collaborations with tech companies, including mobile apps for citizen reporting.

Other officials, including Ogun State Head of Service Kehinde Onasanya and Commissioner for Transportation Gbenga Dairo, also supported the adoption of digital tools for better traffic compliance and response. TRACE Commandant General Seni Ogunyemi acknowledged infrastructure challenges but confirmed that the agency would implement digital innovations as part of its ongoing efforts to improve road safety and traffic management across the state.
