FCCPC Asks Nigerians To Complain Appropriately

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission,
(FCCPC) has called Nigerians to report any consumer rights infringement.
This according to the statement made by Director of Cooperate Affairs Commission, Inadje Ijagwu when he played host to Galaxy Television on Tuesday Abuja.
According to him, “Ijagwu blamed consumers for the inadequacy in dealing with consumer law breakers who trample on the rights of citizens without remorse.”
“He reiterated the commissions readiness to tackle any infringement among the masses irrespective of the organization adding that those who go scot free do so because of communication gap between the commission and unsuspecting consumers who conceal and endure Injustices by several organizations.”
“The FCCPC spokesperson however assured that the commission will commence the sensitization of consumers to acquaint them with the workings of the commission as well as when and where they should go should they fill cheated or when their rights are abused, to lay complaints.”
“The corporate affairs director however assured that their sensitization will no longer be for consuming citizens but also for those in business and education.”
“He said the commission has also established a consumers and business education departments, to enable consumers know their rights at every point in time.”
