Yuletide: Nigerian Airline Cuts Local Flight Fares to N80,000

Aero Contractors has announced a reduction in local flight ticket prices to a minimum of N80,000 for the festive season.
The airline’s Managing Director, Ado Sanusi, revealed this on Tuesday during a press briefing, describing the move as a way to ease the financial strain on Nigerians during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Sanusi explained that the reduced fares, which will be available through January 2024, are part of the company’s effort to give back to customers during the holiday period.
“We understand the economic challenges Nigerians are facing, especially with high ticket prices, and with the holiday season approaching, we want to offer a more affordable option for travel,” he said.
In the spirit of the season, Sanusi emphasized that the “pocket-friendly Christmas prices,” starting at N80,000, would apply to all the airline’s destinations, making travel more accessible for Nigerians.
As of Tuesday, a Lagos-to-Abuja economy ticket on Aero Contractors was priced at N99,643, with business class tickets going for N189,167.
Sanusi added that the initiative is aimed at helping families reunite without the burden of high travel costs. He reassured customers that, despite the fare reduction, Aero Contractors would remain profitable, having factored in the current economic conditions.
