ACF Criticizes Presidency Over ‘No Vacancy in Aso Rock’ Statement

By Fly Cable News

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has criticized the Presidency for its statement that President Bola Tinubu will remain in office until 2031.

The ACF urged the Tinubu administration to focus on providing good governance to Nigerians rather than being preoccupied with the 2027 presidential election.

The comment was made by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, who advised northern political leaders planning to run in 2027 to wait until 2031, after Tinubu’s second term.

In response, ACF National Publicity Secretary, Prof. Tukur Muhammad-Baba, emphasized that it was too early to discuss the 2027 election, and clarified that the ACF’s focus is on the welfare of the citizens, not partisan politics.
