Nigerian Troops Rescue Four Kidnapped Victims in Delta

By Fly Cable News

Troops from the 63 Brigade of the Nigerian Army successfully rescued four kidnapped victims in Ugbolu Forest, Oshimili South LGA, Delta State. The rescue operation followed intelligence reports about suspected kidnappers in the area, as stated by Major Emmanuel Onoja, Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, on Tuesday.

On December 9, 2024, the 63 Brigade troops launched a raid on the kidnappers’ hideout, engaging them in a fierce gun battle. The kidnappers were overpowered and fled, abandoning their captives. The rescued victims are now in a secure location receiving care, while troops continue to pursue the fleeing criminals.

The army spokesperson urged the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies, reaffirming the army’s commitment to eradicating crime in the region.
