LASUED embarks on indefinite strike.

By Fly Cable News

The Non-Academic Staff Union of the Lagos State University of Education, LASUED, Ijanikin, have embarked on an indefinite strike to protest the failure of the state government and the institution’s administration to address its demands.

The university union says it wants the payment of 72 months of arrears for hazard and transport allowances to its members as well as 25-35 percent salary increase.

The Chairman of the LASUED chapter of NASU, Badmus Adesola, stated while speaking to newsmen on the development.

Mr Adesola said that the union have exhausted all avenues for dialogue, and its members can no longer bear the financial strain caused by the non-payment of allowances and stagnant wages.
