LAGOS ISLAND 2025: IT MUST BE PEOPLE-DRIVEN AND PEACEFUL CAMPAIGN.

This morning, I started my day by reading a troubling report about the disgraceful and illegal public act of some unruly individuals who removed Prince Rosul Eshilokun’s campaign banner, which was prominently displayed at the popular Adeniji Adele bus stop on Lagos Island.

With a response from the Renewed Hope 2025 media team’s recent press statement released last night, which was aptly titled, “Let’s play politics of friendship, unity, and not hatred.” It’s shown that Prince Muhammed Rosul Eshilokun, a disciplined and resolute politician, remains unwaveringly committed to his ambition despite numerous attempts to frustrate and undermine him, creating unnecessary political challenges. In a demonstration of his leadership, he urged his followers to refrain from engaging in conflicts with their political rivals. Instead, he advocated for maintaining peace, fostering unity, and spreading love among all, emphasising the importance of these values in the political landscape. His message of harmony highlights his dedication to a peaceful coexistence rather than succumbing to adversarial politics.

Even when faced with a highly provocative act, he maintains his composure, with the calm assurance and reserved demeanour of someone who believes everything will ultimately turn out well. He remarked that in the realm of politics, one should never anticipate a smooth journey devoid of challenges before reaching the stage of achieving their goals or ambitions. Such wisdom reflects his understanding of the complex and often tumultuous nature of political landscapes, where resilience and patience are key virtues for navigating the inevitable obstacles and conflicts.

A good leader leads by example, as Rosul Eshilokun has demonstrated, understanding that politics is not a “do or die” affair. He is a man who consistently advocates for peace, regardless of political differences or affiliations, serving as a reminder that effective political engagement should be rooted in collaboration and harmony rather than divisiveness. Some elements seem to overlook the fundamental principle that before one delves into the realm of politics, it is essential to recognise our shared human existence. Moreover, Lagos Island, known for its sophistication and enlightenment, cannot easily be manipulated by divisive political tactics aimed at eroding the bonds of friendship, which are crucial for fostering a thriving political environment.

The Wikipedia entry spotted the likes of Rosul Eshilokun, who quoted Robert Frost’s quote about “a course of lucky events,” suggesting a journey strewn with serendipitous moments. I am confident that Rosul Eshilokun will face obstacles along the way, yet eventually, each challenge will contribute to a narrative of success, much like a signature marking a victory. Imagine the serene ambiance of an evening market, where the hustle gradually fades into a peaceful silence, offering “a clarification of life” as all the day’s chaos settles into a calm understanding of what truly matters.

It is important to recognise that Rosul Eshilokun continues to be the people’s choicest candidate whose roots are deeply embedded in the home base, consistently advocating for the core values of unity, mutual respect, and collective advancement. These principles form the cornerstone of our political participation, and we strongly encourage all involved parties to adhere to these ideals. The essence of fair competition should be to drive progress and innovation, not to create rifts or division among the people.
