2face Idibia Deletes Divorce-Related Posts and Video from Instagram

Nigerian music icon 2face Idibia has removed all posts and videos related to his divorce from his Instagram account.

The singer had shared a video on Sunday, January 26, 2025, confirming rumors of his divorce from his wife, Annie, after 12 years of marriage. However, just hours after posting it, he deleted the video and claimed his account had been hacked.

The announcement caused a stir among his fans and celebrities alike, sparking widespread debate on social media. In response to the uproar, 2face posted another video, denying the hacking claim and confirming that he had indeed made the original post. Speaking in pidgin, he clarified, “Hello my people, nobody hacked my account. Na me talk weytin I won yan.”

By Monday morning, a check revealed that 2face had deleted all the posts related to the divorce, including the controversial video.
