Police Presents Cheques To 30 Deceased Police Officers Family In Benue.

Benue State Police Commissioner CP. Steve Yabanet, has presented cheques worth a total of Seventy two millions (N72,259,935) to beneficiaries of the police welfare scheme.

Presenting the Cheques on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, the commissioner of police, CP Yabanet, says the money cannot today cannot replace their loved ones but it is given to families of deceased police officers to cushion the effect of death on families within the first one (1) year of loosing a police officer.

While sympathizing with the beneficiaries, the CP advised the beneficiaries to invest these monies into businesses that will help them to become self reliant as they wait for other benefits from the force.

one of the beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the IGP for remembering them within a very short time and prayed God Almighty to bless the IGP so that he will continue to fight for the rights of police officers.
