Tensions rise in Bahrain, Kuwait after US strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites

Bahrain and Kuwait, which host US military bases, have advised motorists to avoid major roads amid heightened regional tensions following US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

In Kuwait, authorities have already set up emergency shelters within a government ministries complex as a precaution.

The warnings came after Tehran vowed to retaliate against US assets in the region if attacked.

Earlier, President Donald Trump confirmed in a televised address that US B-2 bombers targeted Iran’s key nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

“Our mission was to eliminate Iran’s nuclear enrichment capability and end the nuclear threat from the world’s leading state sponsor of terror,” he said.
