Eid-El fitri, Mohammed Approves Immediate Payment Of March Salary To Civil Servants

The Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has approved the immediate payment of March 2026 salaries and wages of all categories of Civil Servants in the State ahead of the Eid al-Fitr sallah celebrations coming up this weekend.
The disclosure was made by the State Head of the Civil Service (HoS), Barr Sani Mohammed, during a Press Briefing held in his office on payment of salaries and update on recruitment exercise in the State.
According to him, the gesture is intended to enable workers celebrate the forthcoming Eid al-Fitr in good spirits with their families.
“His Excellency has always demonstrated great concern for the welfare of Civil Servants, particularly during festive periods. This is not the first time he has taken such a step, and we sincerely appreciate his magnanimity and commitment to the well-being of workers in the State.”
“On behalf of the Civil Service, I wish to express our deep gratitude to His Excellency for always placing the welfare of Civil Servants as a priority. We pray that God continues to guide him and grant him the strength to sustain these good gestures throughout his tenure and even beyond”.
“We believe this development will bring relief and happiness to the families of civil servants and will also have a positive impact on the economy of the state, as workers will now have additional resources to purchase food items, clothing, and gifts for their families and loved ones,” he said.
While giving an update on the ongoing recruitment exercise, he stated that the recruitment process has now reached its final stage as Interviews have commenced across most of the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).”
According to him, “So far, nearly all the 18 MDAs involved in the exercise have begun conducting interviews, with only a few yet to start. I have personally visited several institutions to observe the process, including the Civil Service Commission, the Teachers Service Commission, the Ministry of Works, the Ministry of Housing and Environment, the Sharia Commission, and the Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare.”
“From what I observed, the interview panels have demonstrated a high level of professionalism, while the candidates have also conducted themselves in an orderly and impressive manner. Although there may be minor challenges with some candidates, we believe that with proper training and mentorship on the job, such issues can be addressed,” he stressed.
“The recruitment process is now approaching its conclusion, and very soon, successful candidates will receive their appointment letters.”
“As earlier explained, the responsibility of the MDAs and the relevant Service Commissions is to conduct the interviews and submit the list of qualified and employable candidates.”
“Thereafter, the Bureau responsible for the digital recruitment process will upload the appointment letters of successful candidates onto their individual dashboards. Candidates will then be able to access and print their appointment letters directly for final documentation.”
He explained that, “The objective is to ensure minimal human interference in the recruitment process. The interview stage remains the only point where direct human interaction is necessary so that panels can assess candidates beyond their academic qualifications.
“I would also like to sound a strong warning to anyone attempting to exploit applicants by collecting money in exchange for employment. Security agencies have already arrested several individuals involved in such illegal activities, and they are currently in police custody,” he added.
According to him, “Investigations are ongoing, and anyone found engaging in such practices will face prosecution. Equally important, any candidate found to have offered money in exchange for employment will automatically be disqualified.”
“Public service is a responsibility, and anyone who pays for a job may feel compelled to recover that money through corrupt practices. This administration will not tolerate such conduct.
