EFCC Arraigns Five Family Members for Stealing
Five members of Obiakor family have rearranged for allegedly stealing the sum of N242.391 million before a Lagos Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) re-arraigned the five family members, Chisom Obiakor, Daniel Obiakor, Anthony Obiakor, Precious Nwokemodo and Ifeanyi Nwokemode before Justice Mojisola Dada.
They were arraigned on seven-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing N242.391 million belonging to Just Kings and Real Kings Nigeria Limited. According to prosecution counsel, Anita Imo, she alleged that Chisom Obiakor, while working for Just Kings and Real Kings Nigeria Limited, stole goods worth N242.4 million and later dissipated the proceeds to her father, Daniel Obikaor; brother, Anthony Obiakor; sister, Precious Nwokemodo and brother-in-law, Ifeanyi Nwokemodo.
While Chisom’s father allegedly received N10 million from the alleged stolen money, her sister, Precious and brother, Anthony got N24.5 million and N10 million respectively while her brother-in-law, Nwokemodo Ifeanyi got N400,000.Justice Dada subsequently adjourned the matter to November 3, 4, 5 and 6, 2025 for trial.
