MFM Blows Hot: Set To Make Scapegoats Of Those Peddling Lies And Evil About The MinistryOne of Nigeria’s most popular and enduring churches, the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, commonly referred to as MFM, is no longer handling it’s detractors with kids gloves. The fire brand ministry with millions of worshippers scattered around the globe is now set to change its disciplinary approach towards unscrupulous and criminal elements who now take delight in disparaging the ministry and spreading malicious information intended to rubbish the hard earned reputation of both the ministry and its founder and General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya.Those who have been following MFM closely will be familiar with some of the shocking allegations that have been made against the highly respected Ministry in recent times. Some of these unprovoked attacks on the ministry have come from disgruntled staff, former members and non members alike who have launched coordinated media attacks against the ministry hoping to make millions of naira from the case if the courts proceedings go their way. Unfortunately for them, none has gone their way. Rather, they have been the ones ordered by the courts to pay MFM millions of naira in damages.Some other individuals have been luckier. They go about maligning the General Overseer and the ministry with all kinds of outrageous and unfounded allegations and end up confessing they were induced with money to do so by some enemies of the ministry. But their cases never got to the point where final judgements were read in favour of MFM. What has happened, in most cases, is that families of these criminal elements besiege the church, rolling on the ground in tears and pleading profusely with the General Overseer to have mercy on them and forgive the culprits. They then go on to plead with Dr. Olukoya to drop the charges and order the release of their wards, promising they would never bring MFM to disrepute again. But unfortunately, as the General Overseer continues to let these diabolic individuals ‘go and sin no more,’ more negative attacks against him and the ministry spring up, orchestrated by individuals who seek to simply damage the reputation of the ministry, and hoping they can make some huge millions of naira in the process via settlements of all sorts, even when they know that, truthfully, the entire allegations they’re throwing up are nothing but lies from the pit of hell. For some, it is not even about the money, all they seek is to chase clout and become famous!A perfect example is the recent case of a young lady named Chimamanda Odigboh, called Amanda for short. She had gone on Tik tok to allege that Mountain Top University, which she referred to as ‘Mountain Bottom’ university in her video, had illogically expelled a student on the suspicion that he was gay while same institution was kinder to another student who, according to her, almost raped a female student in the bathroom and ended up getting rusticated only. She also went on to make extremely spurious allegation about the death of a student of the institution whom she said died of negligence on the part of the institution. When the said video got to the attention of the leadership of the church, they swung into action, got the security agencies involved and subsequently, Amanda was arrested.It came as a huge shock to many when, in just a matter of minutes, Amanda crumbled and admitted she had no proof to defend any of her allegations, all she got were hearsays and rumours from treacherous minded individuals like herself. And apparently, she merely wanted to trend on social media, not giving a hoot about the grievous consequences of her action. Her parents and family members all began to beg the General Overseer and the ministry as a whole to forgive their daughter, explaining that she was actually mentally unstable. Amanda has since done another video, retracting her earlier allegations and genuinely seeking for pardon from both the Mountain Top University and MFM as a ministry. And on compassionate grounds, the General Overseer approved she should be let off the hook.If the ministry had insisted on pressing charges, Amanda would’ve spent a year or two behind bars. But from reports currently reaching The Prime CitizensNG, Amanda might very well be the last individual to enjoy the compassionate approach of the ministry to issues like this. It appears MFM is now saying, ‘enough is enough’ to malicious lies, blackmail and unfounded allegations spurned against it by these heartless, money induced elements.The Prime Citizens NG spoke to a high ranking Pastor of the church who was privy to the Amanda case and how it was eventually addressed. “You know the General Overseer is a kind hearted man who finds it hard to let the laws of the land punish accordingly those who, for no reason at all, choose to destroy the name and hard earned reputation of the ministry. But the legal department can no longer take this ugly development. They have held a very serious meeting with the GO, making him understand that, if he continues to pardon these evil doers without any scapegoat punished as deterent to others, more and more of their likes will continue to spring up, just as we have on social media today where all manner of individuals just go online to malign celebrities for no just cause, only to sing a different song once they are caught by the long arm of the law.”He continues: “The smear campaign has to stop now, enough is enough. People were taking advantage of the humble and kind nature of Dr. Olukoya, but all of that has ended now. The legal team of the ministry will no longer stand by and watch people attempt to destroy MFM. Dr. Olukoya says MFM is a deliverance ministry, so it is expected that it will continue to face attacks from different quarters, but the legal department disagrees, saying, it is time for every personality behind these coordinated attacks to be arrested and brought to book.
