2027: APC mocks ADC, labels coalition as power mongers

By Fly cable news
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that it faces no threat from the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the party as a coalition of power seekers driven by personal ambition rather than national interest.
APC Chairman in Jigawa State, Hon. Ahmad Maikudi stated this while responding to questions from newsmen after the party’s executive meeting held on Monday in Dutse.
He said, the meeting was ahead of the Party’s National convention scheduled to take place on Saturday.
He said he does not regard the ADC as a genuine political party, but rather, “a coalition of selfish individuals and power mongers” lacking commitment to national interest.
According to him, the party’s lifespan would be short, as it is likely to disintegrate after its primaries once key figures fail to secure their ambitions.
He argued that the ADC is largely made up of former presidential and governorship candidates, each with personal aspirations to contest for the presidency.
He added that prominent figures such as Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi may leave the party if they fail to clinch the party’s presidential ticket.
Maikudi assured that, the APC will emerge victorious in the upcoming elections.
Also commenting on the upcoming APC National convention scheduled to take place on Saturday, he said the party in the state have completed all the necessary arrangements and all its delegates including statutory and those elected are set for the convention.
