Streetlight electrocutes 61-year-old in Lagos flood

A yet-to-be identified 61-year-old has died after being electrocuted when he held onto a streetlight during the flood incident on Wednesday, July 4.

The Lagos Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known via his X handle on Thursday, July 4.

He wrote: “During the rain yesterday in Orile-Iganmu, a 61-year old man, while wading through the floods, held on to a street light pole and sadly got electrocuted.”
