Akwa Ibom ex-AG hails Tinubu over democracy day speech
FORMER Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Akwa Ibom State, Uwemedimo Nwoko, SAN, has commended President Bola Tinubu for acknowledging those that made contributions and sacrifices including losing their lives to return Nigeria to a democratic nation.
Nwoko also lauded the President for keeping his broadcast speech within the limits of the democracy day.
He equally commended him for addressing the issue regarding the minimum wage which is the hot issue currently on his (President’s) table.
His words, “The speech was a review of the struggle for democracy, and I appreciate the President for what he did. He took time to appreciate all the warriors, those who lost their life, those who sacrificed in one way or the other to return Nigeria to a democratic nation.
“He acknowledged the battle they fought, the various contribution, sacrifices they made one way or the other.
“For me it was a good speech acknowledging the contributions made by individuals and group who worked hard that we now have democracy in Nigeria. For a democracy day that was sufficient”.
