Uber Driver: “I was assaulted by Rep, taken to police station

Under driver, Stephen Abuwatseya has revealed that Abia House of Representatives member Alex Ikwechegh assaulted
him, before taken to the police station.

According to report, Ikwechegh also threatened to make the Uber driver “disappear” and to confine him in his generator house.

In an interview with VeryDarkMan on Monday, Abuwatseya said Ikwechegh called police officers who then transported him to the station.

“After the incident, he called some police officers—I don’t know their division—and they took me to the station. They wouldn’t let me take any calls,” the driver recounted.

He continued, “I was brought to the IPO’s office, where he spoke to Ikwechegh outside. After the call, the IPO mentioned he would investigate at the representative’s house in Maitama.

“They kept me behind the counter for over two hours. When the IPO returned, he questioned me about recording the representative.

“The honorable then came to the station and began insulting me. I finally left the station at 3:00 am, and my car is still there.”
