Tinubu Reappoints Prof. Samson Duna as NBRRI Director General

President Bola Tinubu has reappointed Prof. Samson Duna as the Director General of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) for another four-year term.

The reappointment was confirmed in a statement issued by Mr. Peter Mashem, Deputy Director of Information at NBRRI, on Tuesday in Abuja. The official communication was conveyed in a letter from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.

Prof. Duna has served as the NBRRI Director General since his initial appointment in 2020. He is an accomplished Professor of Civil Engineering from Billiri Local Government in Gombe State.

Duna is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and holds membership in several professional organizations, including the Nigerian Institute of Engineering Management (MNIEM), the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (FNICE), the Nigerian Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (FNAEGE), and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE).

He is also a Council Member of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and serves on the Industrial/Sectorial Board for the Regional Transport Research and Education Centre (TRECK) in Kumasi, Ghana.
