Police Service Commission Dismisses 18 Senior Officers, Demotion 19 Others

The Police Service Commission has authorized the dismissal of 18 senior officers and the demotion of 19 others following various acts of misconduct.
Ikechukwu Ani, the Head of Press and Public Relations at the PSC, confirmed the decisions in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
The actions were taken during a Plenary Meeting in which the Commission reviewed 109 pending disciplinary cases, 23 appeals, and 13 court rulings.
Among the sanctioned officers are 10 Assistant Superintendents, six Deputy Superintendents, two Chief Superintendents, and one Superintendent, all dismissed. Additionally, 19 officers, including one Assistant Commissioner of Police and 18 others from various ranks, were demoted.
