Nurses employed by the Ogun State Government have expressed their gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for the payment of the new minimum wage and the implementation of the 25% adjustment to the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS).
At the 2024 End of Year Party and Interactive Session hosted by the Abeokuta Health Zone at the College of Nursing Hall, Mr. Abiodun Olakanmi, Director of Nursing Services at the Ogun State Hospitals Management Board, commended the Governor for the salary increases, noting that the adjustments had narrowed the pay gap between state and federal nurses.
Olakanmi assured that the improved salaries would lead to better service delivery from the nursing staff. Mrs. Adejoke Bello, Ogun State Chairperson of the National Association of Nurses and Midwives, also expressed gratitude, urging nurses to prioritize their own health while continuing to care for others. Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Mrs. Oluremi Mosuro, thanked Governor Abiodun for supporting nurses and encouraged them to keep up their dedication to service.
