By Fly Cable News

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a record-breaking revenue collection of ₦6.105 trillion for 2024, marking a 90.4% increase compared to the ₦3.2 trillion generated in 2023.

Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, providing insights into the service’s achievements over the past year.

Adeniyi highlighted that the NCS exceeded its 2024 revenue target of ₦5.07 trillion by 22%, attributing the success to enhanced trade facilitation and revenue collection strategies.

“The Nigerian Customs Service achieved an unprecedented revenue milestone in 2024, generating ₦6.105 trillion, which surpassed the ₦5.07 trillion target by 22%,” he stated.

The CGC also noted that October 2024 was particularly significant, as the service recorded its highest monthly revenue remittance of ₦603 billion.
