Unidentified Woman Found Murdered Near Nasarawa Polytechnic

An unidentified young woman’s body was discovered in the Ombi 1 community near Mustapha Agwei II State Polytechnic, Lafia, intensifying concerns over rising violence in the area.

The discovery follows the recent murder and dismemberment of Salome Adaidu, allegedly by her lover, in Orozo. Ombi 1, known for its criminal activity and presence of hoodlums posing as students, has left residents increasingly uneasy despite security patrols.

Preliminary police investigations revealed that the woman was murdered, with her body dragged from a nearby junction and dumped behind a compound on Saturday night. Residents found the body early Sunday morning.

The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the incident and launched an investigation, urging the public to assist in identifying the victim or providing information on the crime.
