Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has decried the worsening economic situation in the country, stating that the Federal Government’s policies are not yielding positive results and are instead causing severe hardship for Nigerians.
Speaking on Thursday during a meeting of the National Reconciliation Committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi, Fintiri lamented the country’s economic struggles under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
He emphasized that Nigerians are suffering due to ineffective economic policies and urged the government to reconsider decisions that are inflicting pain on citizens.
“Nigeria is bleeding. People are angry, and the economic policies are not working. The Federal Government must rethink strategies that are making life difficult for Nigerians,” Fintiri said.
He further stressed that governance should be driven by responsibility and trust, not dictated by external influences like the World Bank or the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The meeting, attended by the governors of Bauchi and Taraba, along with the PDP’s acting National Chairman, focused on resolving internal party disputes. Committee Chairman Olagunsoye Oyinlola reaffirmed the PDP’s commitment to strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
