LASU Seeks Justice for Murdered Graduate

Lagos State University (LASU) has demanded swift justice for its 28-year-old graduate, Adedamola Ogunbode, also known as Horlar, who was allegedly killed by a prophet in Ojo, Lagos State, for ritual purposes.
In a statement on Tuesday, LASU’s Deputy Registrar, Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile, expressed deep sadness over the incident, revealing that Ogunbode, a Political Science Education graduate, had been missing since January 16.
Investigations by security agencies later uncovered his mutilated body buried in a church compound, leading to the arrest of the church’s prophet, who is assisting police with their inquiries.
The university strongly condemned the senseless violence, urging authorities to ensure the perpetrators face justice. LASU also called on students to remain calm and vigilant while investigations continue, reaffirming its commitment to student safety and security.
The university extended condolences to Ogunbode’s family and loved ones, praying for strength during this difficult time.
