In a bold and timely move to address the longstanding infrastructural decay in Festac Town, a new grassroots-oriented and community-driven movement, Take Back Festac Town-Amuwo, has emerged under the dynamic leadership of Valentine Uduebor. The movement is set to champion a people-powered advocacy aimed at restoring the lost glory of the once-celebrated urban settlement.

With particular emphasis on the deplorable state of roads and drainages, the group is mobilizing residents, stakeholders, and concerned citizens to demand immediate government intervention and sustainable infrastructural renewal. The neglect of Festac Town has led to worsening environmental and living conditions, stifling economic growth and community morale.

To amplify their demand and galvanize public support, the movement is organizing a Five Thousand-Man Walk, a symbolic mass action that will draw attention to the urgent need for revitalization.
