LCCI to Launch Innovation Hub in Lagos
The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) will tomorrow unveil a state-of-the-art Innovation Hub aimed at supporting technology startups and small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) across the state.
In a statement, the Chairman of Research & Advocacy at LCCI, Mr. Ladi Smith, said the initiative is designed to catalyse innovation and foster a more dynamic business environment in Nigeria.
According to Mr. Smith, the Innovation Hub will serve as an incubator for new ventures, creating a steady pipeline of future LCCI members. “The hub is the ideal place to bring entrepreneurs together,” he said, emphasizing that participation is open to all — membership in the Chamber is not a requirement.
He added that the hub would curate and incubate ideas and startups, supporting their growth and integration into Nigeria’s broader economic landscape.
Lagos State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Olatunbosun Alake, encouraged entrepreneurs to take advantage of the state’s expanding digital infrastructure and cybersecurity frameworks. He highlighted the achievements of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), which has trained over 35,000 young people in digital skills to date.
The LCCI Innovation Hub is expected to become a vital resource for tech talent, offering tools, mentorship, and networking opportunities to emerging entrepreneurs.
