Lagos Assembly Approves Sanwo-Olu’s N3.4 Trillion 2025 Budget

The Lagos State House of Assembly has approved a N3.37 trillion budget for 2025, following a detailed presentation by the chairman of the joint committee on Appropriation and Finance, Sa’ad Olumoh.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu initially proposed the “Budget of Sustainability,” emphasizing continuity, resilience, and prosperity. The approved budget includes N1.3 trillion for recurrent expenditure and N2.07 trillion for capital projects, with a deficit of N408.9 billion to be financed through loans and bonds.
Key allocations include N908.7 billion for Economic Affairs, N233.2 billion for Environment, N204 billion for Health, and N208.4 billion for Education.
The Assembly also passed a bill consolidating local government administrative laws, reflecting constitutional and legislative updates.
