The organizers of the 2024 Osun-Osogbo Festival have directed media houses, social media influencers, skit makers, and merchandisers not to use or publish any content related to this year’s festival without consent.
This directive was contained in a public notice that has gone viral and was seen by WESTERN POST on Saturday.
The notice, signed by the Media Manager of the Osun Osogbo Festival, Oyindamola Olukanni, stated that no content related to the festival, including logos, photos, videos, audio clips, and digital materials, should be broadcast without written consent and permission.
The organizers said the new directive aims to safeguard the festival’s trademark and copyrighted materials.
“Total compliance with the directive is mandatory. Whoever violates the above or infringes on the intellectual property rights of the Osun Osogbo Festival 2024 will be liable and will face the full force of the law, including potential legal action,” the statement reads.
