Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has approved the inauguration of a nine-member visitation panel for Redeemer’s University, Ede, in Osun State. The panel’s mandate is to assess the university’s performance over the last five years.
According to a statement by Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs, the panel was constituted in line with university regulations that require an evaluation every five years. The panel was officially inaugurated by Pastor Olukayode Pitan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), on September 17 in Lagos.
Pastor Pitan emphasized that the last visitation was conducted in 2019 and expressed confidence that the panel’s findings would help the university reach greater heights. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Akindele, viewed the panel’s work as an opportunity for the institution to reflect on its achievements and identify areas for improvement.
Prof. Femi Mimiko, Chairman of the Visitation Panel and former Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, expressed gratitude for the assignment and promised a thorough evaluation. He called for cooperation from the university community and mentioned that their assessment would cover the period from January 2019 to December 2023, with a report expected within eight weeks.
