Bobrisky Claims to Have Paid SAN N5 Million Upfront for Pardon in Leaked Audio

Controversial cross-dresser Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, reportedly claimed in a leaked audio recording that he paid N5 million upfront to an unnamed Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) to obtain a Federal Government pardon for money laundering charges from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The recording, leaked by social media influencer Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan (VDM), on October 7, 2024, is said to have been made on May 16, 2024. In the audio, Bobrisky allegedly mentioned that the SAN initially requested N10 million, but he couldn’t pay the full amount due to his account being frozen by the EFCC.

Bobrisky was heard saying, “I’m supposed to finish my sentence by July, but if we get the amnesty, I could leave by the first week of next month. The SAN asked for N10 million, which I could have transferred, but my account is frozen. My godfather gave me N5 million, which we sent to the SAN two weeks ago, and he has already submitted the pardon request.”

Last week, Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana denied any association with Bobrisky, stating that Bobrisky had only communicated with his son, Folarin Falana, also known as Falz.
