NEMA Receives 56 Returnees From Libya

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA, Lagos Territorial Office (LTO) has received one hundred and fifty-Six vulnerable Nigerians from Libya.

The returnees included seventy-seven male adults, sixty-seven female adults, seven children, and five infants.

This was made known in a post by NEMA on its official X handle today.

According to NEMA the returnees arrived at approximately 19:15 hours on a charter flight operated by Al-Buraq Airline, registration number 5A-BAA, with 156 individuals on board.

The other returnees underwent biometric profiling conducted by the Nigerian Immigration Service, while additional humanitarian assistance was provided by various government agencies to ensure their well-being.

Stakeholders present included NCFRMI, IOM, NAPTIP, the Police, and FAAN.
