House of Reps Invites Public Input on Tax Reform Bills

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has assured stakeholders that their proposals and recommendations will be considered in the final report on four tax reform bills before parliamentary approval.
The bills under review include the Nigeria Tax Bill, Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Bill, and Joint Revenue Board Establishment Bill.
Speaking at a public hearing in Abuja, Abbas, represented by Majority Leader Julius Ihonvbere, emphasized that the House will thoroughly scrutinize the bills to ensure they serve the best interests of Nigerians.
He acknowledged the widespread debate surrounding the tax reforms, describing the discussions as essential for democratic growth.
