Sanwo-Olu Approves FirstBank’s 40-Storey Headquarters in Eko Atlantic

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has granted FirstBank Group approval to commence construction of its eco-friendly headquarters in Eko Atlantic City.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, Sanwo-Olu presented the certificate of approval, commending FirstBank for its leadership and vision.
The bank revealed plans for a 40-storey skyscraper, set to become Nigeria’s tallest building. Describing it as a landmark project, FirstBank highlighted its cutting-edge, environmentally sustainable design, which aims to redefine financial services infrastructure in Africa.
Sanwo-Olu praised the development of Eko Atlantic City as a model for Africa and acknowledged key stakeholders, including businessman Femi Otedola and the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The event was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, business magnates Aliko Dangote and Dr. Deji Adeleke, as well as other notable dignitaries.
