Man accused of assaulting young ladies in a club arrested

The police in Rivers state over the weekend arrested a man who allegedly ass@ulted three young ladies inside a club in Port Harcourt. the capital city of the state. In a video that went viral, the young ladies said they booked a table at the club to celebrate their friend’s birthday. They stated that while on their table, a man who made his way to sit on their table, asked that he should not be filmed. They claimed that things took a different turn when the man descended on one of them, beating her and attempting to destroy her phone.

One of them lost her front tooth after she was allegedly punched in the face by the said man.

The state police command had announced plans to investigate the matter.

In an update shared with LIB, the spokesperson of the command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said the accused man was apprehended on Saturday, June 14 and was released on Sunday, June 15. She stated that the ladies and the suspects are currently with the state Commissioner of Police for an interview.
