
Okpebholo Appoints Fred Itua as Chief Press Secretary

Edo State Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appointed Fred Itua as his Chief Press Secretary ahead of his upcoming inauguration. The announcement was made on Monday in Abuja by the governor-elect’s media team, marking the first official appointment of Okpebholo’s administration.
Itua, a seasoned journalist with a background in leadership and media, previously worked with *Leadership* and *The Sun* newspapers. He will now lead the media team for the incoming governor.
Itua holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, a Master’s degree in Media Arts from the University of Abuja, and is finalizing his PhD thesis in Development Communication at Veritas University, Abuja. He has a wealth of experience in reporting on the National Assembly, migration, health, anti-corruption, and environmental issues, bringing a comprehensive understanding of both national and global affairs.
