By Fly Cable News
The Nigerian Army, under the leadership of acting Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has launched a full-scale operation to combat the emerging terror group “Lukarawa”, which has been wreaking havoc in Sokoto and Kebbi states.
The group, reportedly linked to extremist factions in Mali and Niger, has been recruiting local youths with financial incentives. Lukarawa is believed to be responsible for numerous attacks, including the recent killing of 15 residents in Mera, Kebbi. Security forces have been deployed to restore order, with the Nigerian Air Force conducting aerial strikes to target terrorist hideouts. Local authorities and security agencies are urging cooperation from citizens to help dismantle the group’s operations.
