Trump Appoints Tom Homan as US Border Czar
By Fly Cable News
President-elect Donald Trump has reappointed Tom Homan, his former acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), to serve as “border czar” in his upcoming administration.
Trump announced the appointment on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, expressing his enthusiasm: “I am pleased to announce that the former ICE Director and staunch advocate for Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration to lead our Nation’s Borders.”
Homan will be responsible for overseeing maritime and aviation security, as well as managing the deportation of undocumented immigrants—a central focus of Trump’s immigration agenda. Importantly, this position does not require Senate confirmation.
Homan’s appointment was widely anticipated, given his extensive experience and Trump’s commitment to executing the largest deportation operation in U.S. history.
