NFF President Gusau Elected 1st Vice President of WAFU B Zone

On Friday, Ibrahim Gusau, President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), was elected as the 1st Vice President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) B zone during elections held in Niamey, Niger Republic.
Kurt Edwin-Simeon Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association, was chosen as the President of the zone, while Oumarou Sawadogo, President of the Burkinabe Football Federation, was appointed as the 2nd Vice President.
The WAFU B zone comprises seven countries: Nigeria, Togo, Benin Republic, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Niger Republic, and Cote d’Ivoire.
Gusau, who became NFF President in September 2022, has previously served on various committees within the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
