EFCC Denies Claims of Discovering $800m, N700bn Cash, and Drugs at El-Rufai Son’s Home

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has refuted rumors that it uncovered $800 million, ₦700 billion in cash, and ₦1 trillion worth of drugs at the residence of Bello El-Rufai, the eldest son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
In a brief statement posted on its official Facebook account on Thursday, the EFCC clarified that these claims were false and urged the public to disregard the reports circulating about the alleged discovery in Kaduna State.
The EFCC described the reports as a fabrication and assured Nigerians that the rumors were not reflective of the commission’s activities. Bello El-Rufai also responded to the speculations, denying that any large sums of money or drugs were found at his residence.
